Eligibility
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at the College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Ahmedabad, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Must have completed 10 2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- Minimum aggregate marks:
- General category: 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
- Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40% in PCB.
Entrance Exam Requirement
- Must qualify the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is mandatory for admission to all dental colleges in India.
- Admission is granted based on NEET scores through state-level counseling conducted by ACPUGMEC (Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses) in Gujarat.
Age Criteria
- Candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
- There is currently no upper age limit for NEET-UG as per the latest guidelines.
Additional Requirements
- Must participate in the Gujarat NEET counseling process and complete registration, choice filling, and seat allotment steps.
- Required documents at the time of admission include:
- NEET Admit Card and Scorecard
- Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
- Transfer and Migration Certificates
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Passport-size photographs
- Valid ID proof
