College of Dental Sciences and Research

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at the College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Ahmedabad, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification

• Must have completed 10 2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• Minimum aggregate marks:
  • General category: 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
  • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40% in PCB.

Entrance Exam Requirement

• Must qualify the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is mandatory for admission to all dental colleges in India.
• Admission is granted based on NEET scores through state-level counseling conducted by ACPUGMEC (Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses) in Gujarat.

Age Criteria

• Candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
• There is currently no upper age limit for NEET-UG as per the latest guidelines.

Additional Requirements

• Must participate in the Gujarat NEET counseling process and complete registration, choice filling, and seat allotment steps.
• Required documents at the time of admission include:
  • NEET Admit Card and Scorecard
  • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
  • Transfer and Migration Certificates
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Valid ID proof
