BDS Admission Process – DMIHER (Sharad Pawar Dental College & Hospital)

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at DMIHER is based on the candidate’s performance in the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET Qualification

• Candidates must qualify the NEET-UG exam with the minimum percentile required for their category.

Eligibility Criteria

• Completion of 10 2 or equivalent with the following subjects:

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Biology/Biotechnology

  • English

• Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:

  • General Category: 50%

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40%

Counselling Registration

• As a Deemed-to-be University, DMIHER participates in:

  • Maharashtra NEET Counselling for state-level seats

  • Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling for All India/Deemed University seats

• Candidates must register on the respective counselling authority’s official portal.

Choice Filling and Locking

• During counselling, candidates must select and lock their preferred institutions, including DMIHER.

Seat Allotment

• Seats are allocated based on:

  • NEET-UG All India Rank (AIR)

  • Candidate’s category

  • Preferences submitted

  • Seat availability

Reporting to College

• Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college within the specified timeframe.

• Admission is confirmed upon:

  • Document verification

  • Payment of the admission fee
