Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Dental Sciences (JLNIDS), located at Porompat, Imphal, Manipur, was founded in 2017 as part of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) campus. It is a government institution, affiliated with Manipur University, and recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Despite being relatively new, it has quickly established itself as a key center for dental education in the Northeast region. The college offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program with an annual intake of 50 students. The course spans five years (four academic years plus one year of compulsory internship) and admissions are conducted through the NEET UG examination.
