Eligibility Criteria for BDS

• Education: Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General category: At least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • Reserved categories: Relaxation of 5% (i.e., 45% aggregate).

• NEET Requirement: Must qualify NEET-UG and meet the cutoff percentile.

• Age Limit: Must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year.

Admission & Counseling Process

1. NEET-UG Exam: First, appear for and qualify NEET-UG.

2. Counseling Authorities:

   • All India Quota (15%): Managed by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).

   • Jharkhand State Quota (85%): Managed by JCECEB (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board).

3. Registration & Choice Filling:

   • Register on the respective counseling portal.

   • Pay the registration fee.

   • Fill in college preferences (select RIMS Ranchi for BDS).

4. Seat Allotment: Based on NEET rank, category, and choices filled.

5. Document Verification: Report to the college with original documents and complete admission formalities including fee payment.
