Overview: The Department of Computer Science and Applications (DCSA) at Kurukshetra University is a pioneer in IT education in India. Established in 1981, it was the first department in the country to launch a UGC-sponsored Computer Science course. Over the decades, it has evolved into a center of excellence, producing high-caliber professionals who occupy senior positions in global IT giants. Situated within the massive 473-acre residential campus of KUK, the department has access to the JLN Central Library, which houses over 3.9 lakh books and 15,000 manuscripts. As part of a NAAC 'A ' Grade University ranked 35th in the University category by NIRF, the department recorded a highest package of ₹12.0 LPA (On-campus).
