Gandhi Institute of Advanced Computer and Research (GIACR), Rayagada

Overview: Gandhi Institute of Advanced Computer & Research (GIACR), formerly "IACR", was established in the year 1999 by Rabindranath Educational Trust. Initially, the MCA course was introduced in 1999, followed by B.Tech Degree Courses in 2001 with branches including Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). The institute expanded to include Mechanical Engineering in 2002, Civil Engineering in 2003, and MBA in 2006. GIACR is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, and affiliated to SCTE&VT, Odisha for diploma courses. The GIACR Central Library is fully automated using Koha software, housing over 19,740 volumes and 1,200 unique titles, featuring a specialized Book Bank for semester-long book loans and a digital wing with high-speed 100 Mbps internet. The entire 20-acre "Prajukti Vihar" campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 24/7 internet labs.
