Admission & Eligibility
The university follows a structured admission path based on national entrance scores and state-level counseling.
| Feature | Requirement |
| Academic Qualification | Passed 12th (Intermediate) from a recognized board (HBSE, CBSE, ICSE, etc.). |
| Compulsory Subjects | Must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. |
| Optional Subjects | One from Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, or Biology. |
| Minimum Marks | At least 45% aggregate in the above subjects (40% for SC/ST candidates). |
| Entrance Exam | Primary admission is through JEE Main rank/score. |
| Lateral Entry | Diploma holders in a relevant engineering branch with 45% marks (40% for reserved) can enter the 2nd year directly via HSTES LEET. |

Admission Process Steps

Entrance Exam: Register and appear for JEE Main (Session 1 or 2).

HSTES Registration: Once JEE results are out (typically May/June), register on the HSTES Admission Portal.

Choice Filling: During the counseling window, select GITM Yamunanagar and your preferred branch as your top choices.

Seat Allotment: Based on your JEE rank and category, seats are allotted in two main rounds of online counseling.

Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat, report to the GITM campus with original documents and the admission fee to confirm your seat.

Direct/Management Quota: After the centralized counseling rounds, any leftover seats are usually filled at the institutional level based on 10 2 merit.
