Admission Process – B.Tech at GNITM

• Entrance Exam: JEE Main (mandatory for UPTAC counselling).

• Counselling: Conducted by UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling).

• Seat Intake: ~180 across multiple engineering branches.

• Steps:

  • Register for JEE Main and qualify.

  • Apply for UPTAC counselling with APAAR ID (mandatory from 2026).

  • Choice filling and seat allotment based on rank, category, and preferences.

  • Document verification at reporting centre.

  • Fee payment and confirmation of admission.

 Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Qualification: 12th with Physics & Mathematics compulsory, Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Technical Vocational subject as third.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General/OBC: 45% aggregate in PCM.

  • SC/ST: 40% aggregate in PCM.

• Entrance Requirement: Valid JEE Main score.

• Age Limit: As per AKTU/UPTAC norms (generally 17 years).

• Class 12th mark sheet & certificate

• JEE Main admit card & scorecard

• UPTAC allotment letter

• Transfer/Migration certificate

• Character certificate

• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)

• Domicile certificate (for UP quota)

• Passport-size photographs

• Identity proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, etc.)

• Fee payment receipt
