The GTU-Institute of Technology & Research (GTU-ITR) was established as a constituent college to provide high-quality technical education and foster a research-driven environment in the North Gujarat region. Located in Mewad, Mehsana, along the Ahmedabad-Mehsana Express Highway, the institute serves as a vital extension of GTU’s mission to decentralize and specialize technical training. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and functions under the direct administration of GTU, a premier state university accredited with an NAAC A grade. Campus Infrastructure The institute boasts a modern 25-acre "green campus" designed with state-of-the-art facilities: Laboratories & Workshops: Specialized labs for thermal engineering, fluid mechanics, and high-tech computer centres with 60 high-configured workstations. Library: A well-stocked library containing over 7,100 volumes and 3,300 titles, with memberships to the British Library and digital resource access.
