Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 4-year B.Tech program, you must meet the following academic requirements:

Academic Qualification: Must have passed 12th (Intermediate) from a recognized board.

Mandatory Subjects: You must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, or Biotechnology.

Minimum Marks: * General/OBC/EWS: At least 45% aggregate in the subjects mentioned above.

SC/ST: At least 40% aggregate.

Admission Process
The university has transitioned to a CUET-centric model for undergraduate admissions.
1. Entrance Examination (CUET UG)

Primary Pathway: You must appear for the CUET UG 2026.

Subject Mapping: For B.Tech, you typically need to select the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) domain subjects in the CUET application.

JEE Main Role: While CUET is the primary merit criteria, if seats remain vacant after CUET counseling, the university often opens a separate counseling round for candidates with a valid JEE Main 2026 score.
2. Registration on Samarth Portal
After the entrance results are declared, you must register on the HNBGU Samarth Admission Portal (hnbguadm.samarth.edu.in). This is a mandatory step even if you have appeared for CUET.
3. Merit List & Counseling

Merit List: The university releases several rounds of merit lists based on CUET scores.

Counseling: Successful candidates are often called for Offline/Physical Reporting at the Chauras Campus (Srinagar Garhwal).

Seat Allotment: Branch allocation (CSE, ECE, IT, etc.) happens based on your rank and preferences filled during registration.
4. Document Verification & Fees
Once a seat is offered during counseling, you must pay the admission fee immediately to secure it.
