Overview: Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat (IIIT Surat) is an Institute of National Importance established under the IIIT Act, 2017 by the Government of India in a Not-for-Profit Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model. The institute was founded in 2017 with SVNIT Surat as its mentoring institute, following an MoU signed in 2016 between the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, and industry partners GNFC, Gujarat Informatics Limited, and Gujarat Gas Limited. Located on a 28.71-acre permanent campus at Kholvad, Kamrej Taluka, Surat, near NH-48, IIIT Surat offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The institute recorded a highest package of ₹1.2 Crore (₹120 LPA) and an average package of ₹16.40 LPA for CSE and ₹14.37 LPA for ECE.
