Admission
The admission process for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) / MBA at IIM Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) is a multi-stage process based heavily on the CAT score, academic profile, and performance in the interview rounds.
1. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PGPM program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.

The minimum requirement is relaxed to 45% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled Person (DAP)/Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.

Entrance Exam: A valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT).

Application: Candidates must select IIM Tiruchirappalli as one of their preferred institutes during the CAT registration process .

Provisional Eligibility: Candidates in the final year of their Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply provisionally.
2. Admission Process: Two Stages
The selection process is broadly divided into two main stages: Shortlisting and Final Selection.
Stage 1: Shortlisting for PI & WAT
IIM Trichy uses a minimum CAT percentile cut-off to shortlist candidates for the Written Analysis Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

Stage 2: Final Merit List Calculation
After the WAT and PI are conducted, a Final Composite Score is calculated for all interviewed candidates based on a weighted average of various components. The final admission offer is based on this score.

Executive MBA (PGPBM – Chennai Campus)
The Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) is designed for working executives.
