1. Undergraduate (UG) Admissions

B.Tech Entrance: Admission is strictly through JEE Advanced.Candidates must first qualify in JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced.Seat allotment is handled centrally by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

2. Postgraduate (PG) Admissions

Entrance: Primarily based on GATE scores followed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) counseling.

IIT Graduates: B.Tech graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are eligible for direct admission without a GATE score.
Self-Sponsored/Industry Seats: IITH offers a unique "Self-Sponsored" M.Tech where selection is based on a written test and/or interview.The fee for this category is typically higher (approx. ₹20,000 per credit).
