Overview: Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) is one of the eight "second-generation" IITs established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Nestled in the Kamand Valley of the Shivalik Range, the institute is celebrated for its unique Himalayan campus and its interdisciplinary approach to engineering education. Spread over 538 acres in the Kamand Valley, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, the campus features the AMRC (Advanced Materials Research Centre) and BioX Centre, featuring state-of-the-art instrumentation. The central library has over 40,000 volumes and extensive digital access to 2,000 e-journals. Ranked 26th in Engineering by NIRF 2025, the institute recorded a highest package of ₹52.0 LPA and an average package of ₹22.38 LPA, with CSE branch achieving nearly 90% placement.
