Admission Process
Phase I: JEE Main (January & April 2026)

Session 1: Conducted in January 2026.

Session 2: Conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.

Goal: Secure a high enough rank to qualify for the next stage.
Phase II: JEE Advanced (May 2026)

Registration: Begins on April , 2026, and ends on May, 2026.

Exam Date: The exam is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Results: To be declared on June 1, 2026. This rank is the only score used for B.Tech admission at IIT Madras.
Phase III: JoSAA Counselling (June - July 2026)
After results, you must participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) process.

Registration Starts: June , 2026 (Tentative).

Choice Filling: You must list "IIT Madras" and your preferred branches (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical) in order of preference.

Rounds: There are typically 6 rounds of seat allocation.
Phase IV: Physical Reporting
Once a seat is locked in the final rounds, you will receive an admission offer letter from IIT Madras. You must then pay the fees and report to the Chennai campus for document verification and orientation in late July 2026.
