IIT Roorkee MBA Admission Process – 2025
The admission procedure for the two-year MBA program at IIT Roorkee is conducted in two stages, with the CAT 2024 score serving as a key evaluation criterion. However, IIT graduates who qualified through JEE or JEE Advanced and hold a CGPA of 7.0 or above (on a 10-point scale) are exempt from CAT and are directly invited for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
Stage 1: Shortlisting for PI-WAT
Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (PI-WAT) based on their CAT percentile. The minimum cut-off scores by category are:
Category | Overall CAT Percentile | Sectional Cutoff (VARC/DILR/QA) |
---|---|---|
General | 95–98 | 50 in each section |
OBC | 90–93 | 50 in each section |
SC | 80–84 | 50 in each section |
ST | 75–78 | 50 in each section |
PwD | 70–74 | 50 in each section |
Stage 2: Final Selection Criteria:
Final admission offers are made based on a composite score, which includes:
Component | Weightage (%) |
---|---|
CAT Score | 60 |
Personal Interview | 30 |
Work Experience | 10 |
For IIT graduates admitted via JEE/JEE Advanced, the final selection is based solely on PI performance, with a total score of 100.
