IIT Roorkee MBA Admission Process
The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee offers a two-year, full-time MBA program.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the program, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Academic Qualification: A graduate degree or an equivalent professional qualification recognized by the UGC in any discipline.

Minimum Marks:

60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) for General, OBC, and EWS categories.

55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) for SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Mandatory Test Score: A valid score from the Common Admission Test (CAT) for the corresponding academic year is essential.

Applicants in Final Year: Students currently in the final year of their degree program are eligible, provided they secure the minimum required percentage/CGPA by a specified later date (typically around September).
Exceptions to the CAT Requirements

IIT Graduates: Graduates of IITs (admitted via IIT-JEE/JEE Advanced) with a CGPA of 7.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale) are exempt from providing a CAT score.

Exceptional Female Candidates: First-rank holder (Gold Medalist) female graduates from an IIT or a university/institute ranked within the Top 50 in the latest NIRF (Overall category) may also be considered for a CAT score exemption, subject to meeting all other academic requirements.
Admission Process
Phase 1: Application and Shortlisting

Appear for CAT: Candidate takes the Common Admission Test (CAT) in the preceding year.

Online Application: Candidate fills out the specific MBA application form on the IIT Roorkee DoMS website after the CAT result is declared (typically January).

Document Submission: Uploads all academic records, CAT scorecard, and relevant work experience certificates.

Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) based primarily on their CAT Score.
Phase 2: Final Selection and Merit List
The final selection and preparation of the merit list are based on a composite score derived from the following components:
