International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar

Overview: International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar was established by the Government of Odisha in 2006. It is designed to be a premier institute of Information Technology and related areas. The Institute has been converted into a unitary university by the Government of Odisha on 20th Jan 2014. Established as a society under the Government of Odisha and later upgraded to a non-affiliating unitary technical university in 2010, IIIT Bhubaneswar is fully owned and funded by the Government of Odisha. It is AICTE-approved and focuses on high-quality IT and communication engineering education, research, and innovation. The campus is located at Gothapatna, PO Malipada, Bhubaneswar, about 15 km from Bhubaneswar city center, spread over 23 acres in a green, serene environment. Key facilities include state-of-the-art labs with high-performance computing systems, dedicated AI/ML research lab with NVIDIA GPU clusters, cloud computing lab, cybersecurity lab, VLSI design lab, and incubation centre for startups. The institute is ranked in NIRF 2025 Engineering 201-300 band, making it a top institution among Odisha state institutes after IIT Bhubaneswar and NIT Rourkela.
