Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate (B.Tech/Dual Degree):

• Academic Qualification: Passed 12th class or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

• Age/Year Restriction: Applicants must not have passed 12th in 2021 or earlier (based on 2025 guidelines).

• Admission Channels:

• JEE Main: Valid JEE Main 2026 score (or relevant year).

• UGEE: Must pass the IIIT Hyderabad UGEE exam.

• SPEC: Enrolled in the 4th semester of a 6-year B.Tech program.

• Olympiad/Direct: Performance in KVPY, NTSE, Olympiad, or others.

Postgraduate (M.Tech):

• Academic Qualification: A bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Design/Science (4-year program) or a Master’s degree in Science/Computer Applications (2-year program).

• Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% or equivalent grade

Admission Process

• Register Online: Visit ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in when applications open (typically February).

• Select Mode: Choose the appropriate admission channel (UGEE, JEE, etc.).

• Appear for Exam/Interview: Take the UGEE or await counseling/interview calls based on the chosen mode.

• Counseling/Seat Allotment: Final seat allotment occurs after document verification and fee payment.
