Admission

Step 1: Eligibility Verification

Before initiating your application, it's essential to confirm that you meet the eligibility standards set by both the Russian medical universities and the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India.

 Academic Requirements

You must have successfully completed your Higher Secondary Education (10 2) or equivalent, with the following subjects as mandatory:

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Biology

  • English

These subjects form the academic foundation for medical studies.

 Minimum Marks Criteria

  • General Category: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): A minimum of 40% aggregate marks in PCB.

 NEET Qualification

As per NMC guidelines, qualifying the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is compulsory for all Indian students seeking admission to MBBS programs abroad. This ensures eligibility for future medical practice in India.

Age Requirement

Applicants must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31st of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for MBBS admission in Russia

Step 2: Document Submission & Application Process

Once you've confirmed your eligibility for admission, the next step is to initiate your application. This is typically done by submitting scanned copies of the required documents either directly to Ivanovo State Medical University or through an authorized admission partner.

 Required Documents:

  • Completed application form

  • Scanned copies of Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates

  • Valid NEET scorecard

  • Passport with at least 18 months of validity

  • Recent passport-sized photographs

  • Medical fitness certificate, including an HIV test report

  • Birth certificate

Step 3: Admission Confirmation & Invitation Letter

Once your documents are reviewed and accepted, the university will issue an Admission Letter, confirming your provisional acceptance into the MBBS program. Following this, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter—a key document required to apply for a student visa to Russia.

 Step 4: Student Visa Application

With the Invitation Letter in hand, you can proceed to apply for a student visa at the Russian Embassy or Consulate in India. You’ll need to submit:

  • The Invitation Letter

  • Your passport

  • Academic records

  • A completed visa application form

  • Any additional documents as specified by the consulate

Step 5: Travel to Russia & Final Enrollment

Once your visa is approved, you can book your flight to Ivanovo, Russia. It’s recommended to notify the university of your travel itinerary in advance so they can arrange airport pickup.

Upon arrival, you’ll need to submit your original documents to the university’s International Student Department to complete your final enrollment and initiate the visa registration process with Russian immigration authorities.
