Course Duration
The MBBS program at ISMA spans six years, comprising:

This structure is fully aligned with NMC regulations, which require a minimum of 54 months of academic study and 12 months of internship for foreign medical graduates.
Medium of Instruction
The entire MBBS curriculum for international students is delivered exclusively in English, eliminating language barriers and ensuring clarity in medical education and communication.
Global Recognition
ISMA is officially listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS)—a critical requirement for NMC recognition of foreign medical degrees. The university is also acknowledged by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international accrediting bodies, reinforcing its global credibility.
Curriculum Standards

NEET Requirement
In accordance with NMC policy, ISMA requires Indian applicants to present a valid NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) scorecard at the time of admission. This is a mandatory prerequisite for pursuing MBBS abroad and for future eligibility to practice medicine in India.
FMGE / NExT Licensing Exams
Upon completion of the MBBS program at ISMA, Indian graduates must qualify either of the following to obtain a medical license in India:

National Exit Test (NExT): A forthcoming unified licensing exam that will replace FMGE and serve as both a final-year MBBS exam and a gateway to postgraduate studies.
FMGE Performance
As per 2024 data, ISMA recorded an FMGE pass rate of 12.82%, based on a limited cohort of Indian students who appeared for the exam. While the university meets all academic and regulatory standards, students are strongly encouraged to begin early preparation for FMGE/NExT during their MBBS studies to ensure a smooth transition into medical practice in India.
