Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech
To be eligible for the academic session, candidates must satisfy the following academic and domicile requirements:

Educational Qualification: Completion of 12th (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board (CBSE, TNSB, ICSE, etc.).

Core Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

Minimum Aggregate Marks (in PCM):

General Category: Minimum 45% marks.

BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST: Minimum 40% marks.

Lateral Entry: Candidates with a relevant Diploma in Engineering can apply for direct admission into the 2nd year (3rd semester).
Admission Process
Admission is primarily managed through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), a centralized counseling process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).

TNEA Registration: Candidates must register online on the official TNEA portal once applications open (typically in May).

Merit Ranking: A merit list is prepared based on the normalized marks of the 12th PCM subjects. There is no separate entrance exam for state quota seats.

Choice Filling: During the online counseling session, students must select Jaya Sakthi Engineering College (JSEC) as their preferred institution.

Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank, community reservation, and seat availability.

Management Quota: For direct admission, candidates can approach the college office directly. These seats are filled based on institutional merit and guidelines set by the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
