Admission
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the first year of the B.E. program, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

Qualifying Examination: Passed 10 2 (PUC/HSC) or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Optional Subjects: Must have studied at least one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.

Minimum Marks:

General Category: Minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects.

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka): Minimum aggregate of 40% marks.

English: Must have studied English as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.
Admission Process
Admissions are facilitated through three primary channels, managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and the college administration.

| Government Quota (KCET) | Seats are allotted based on merit in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) through centralized KEA counseling. |
| Entrance Quota (COMEDK) | Students can secure seats through the COMEDK UGET entrance exam and participate in their counseling rounds. |
| Management Quota | Seats are reserved for direct admission by the institution. Candidates should apply directly to JIT to inquire about seat availability and the specific application procedure. |
