BDS Admission Process – KIDS Bhubaneswar

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences is based on merit, determined by the candidate’s performance in the NEET-UG examination. As a constituent of KIIT Deemed to be University, KIDS participates in the centralized counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Passed 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

  • General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB

  • SC/ST Category: Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB

• Age Requirement: Must be 17 years or older as of December 31 of the admission year.

• NEET-UG Qualification: Must have a valid NEET-UG score and All India Rank.

Counselling Procedure

As a Deemed University, KIDS admits students through All India Counselling managed by MCC. The process includes:

1. Online Registration on the MCC portal (mcc.nic.in)

2. Payment of Fees: Includes a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit (higher for Deemed Universities)

3. Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates select preferred colleges, including KIDS

4. Seat Allotment: Based on NEET rank, category, and preferences

5. Reporting to College: For document verification and fee payment

Seat Intake: KIDS offers 100 seats annually for the BDS program, which includes both General and NRI categories.
