Admission Basis
Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at KCDS&H is based on the candidate’s performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The process is merit-based and follows centralized counseling protocols.
Step-by-Step Admission Process:

NEET-UG Examination: Candidates must appear for and qualify in NEET-UG 2025. This is a mandatory requirement for all dental colleges in India, including private and deemed universities.

Counseling Registration: After NEET results are announced:

For State Quota (85%) seats, candidates must register with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

For All India Quota (15%), registration is done through the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Choice Filling and Locking: During counseling, candidates select their preferred colleges and courses. To secure a seat at KCDS&H, it should be listed among the top preferences.

Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, preferences, and seat availability. The college follows reservation norms as per government guidelines.

Reporting to the College: Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to KCDS&H within the specified time frame. They must carry original documents for verification and complete the admission formalities, including fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for BDS admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualification Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB subjects.

SC/ST/OBC Categories: Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB.
