Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech
To be eligible for the academic session, candidates must meet the criteria set by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th (Higher Secondary) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board (CBSE, TNSB, ICSE, etc.).

Mandatory Subjects: Must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

Minimum Aggregate Marks (in PCM):

General Category: Minimum 45% marks.

BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST: Minimum 40% marks.

Lateral Entry: Candidates with a relevant Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree (with Mathematics in 10 2) are eligible for direct admission into the 2nd year (3rd semester).
Admission Process
The admission is split between Government Counseling and Management Quota.
1. Government Quota (TNEA)
Admission for the majority of seats is through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA):

Registration: Register online at the TNEA official portal.

Merit List: Ranking is based on the 12th PCM marks (normalized to a 200-mark scale). No entrance exam is required.

Counseling: During the choice-filling stage, candidates must select Madha Engineering College (College Code: 1311).

Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit, communal reservation, and availability.
2. Management Quota
As a minority institution, a specific portion of seats is reserved for the management:

Direct Application: Candidates can apply directly to the college.

Selection: Based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10 2) as per the guidelines of the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
