Overview: Madhav Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Gwalior, was established in 1957 by His Highness Sir Jiwaji Rao Scindia, with its foundation stone laid by the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. MITS is a Government-Aided, Autonomous Institute holding NAAC A Grade accreditation. Spread across a lush green 44.6-acre campus including the "Madhav-Van" teak forest, the central library houses over 1,00,000 books and e-journals. Unique selling points include its rich heritage, strong research culture with an active Entrepreneurship Development Cell (established in 1988), and deep-rooted industry connections. Ranked in the 251-300 band for Engineering by NIRF 2025, the institute recorded a highest package of ₹1.0 Crore and an average package of ₹6.46 LPA.
