Overview
Mangalayatan University (MU) was established in 2006 under the Mangalayatan University Uttar Pradesh Act. The term "Mangalayatan" is derived from Sanskrit, translating to "the germinal bed of positive thought." Founded by the Pawan Jain, the university was envisioned as an institution that blends traditional values with modern scientific advancement. Its foundational philosophy is deeply rooted in the core principles of Jainism—simplicity, truth, and hard work—yet it maintains a highly progressive and inclusive outlook, welcoming students from all religious and cultural backgrounds. Over the past two decades, the university has evolved from a regional center of learning into a leading private university in North India. Strategically located near the Yamuna Expressway, it has successfully graduated over 7,000 students and currently serves a diverse population from both India and abroad. The university’s growth has been marked by a transition from basic degree programs to high-tech, industry-aligned courses in collaboration with global giants like IBM. In 2023, it achieved a major milestone by receiving the NAAC 'A ' Grade accreditation, solidifying its status as a premier hub for research and quality education in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
