Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed 10 2 (Intermediate) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology. A minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together is required.

Qualifying Examination: Admission is primarily based on the rank obtained in JEE Main. For M.Tech, a valid GATE score is required.

Cut-off Marks: Cut-offs vary annually based on the AKTU counseling process and JEE Main trends. Generally, popular branches like CSE require higher percentile ranks.

Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in minimum marks is provided for SC/ST candidates as per state government norms.
2. Admission Process

Application Mode: Online via the official website (miet.ac.in) or through the AKTU counseling portal (UPTAC).

Application Fees: Approximately ₹1000 for general candidates (subject to AKTU guidelines).

Shortlisting: Students are shortlisted based on their JEE Main scores or through Management Quota (Direct Admission) for remaining seats based on 10 2 merit.

Final Selection: Final seats are allotted through the UPTAC counseling process based on choice filling and merit list.

Scholarship: Merit-based scholarships are provided to top rankers, and government scholarships (UP Scholarship) are available for eligible category and economically weaker students.
