Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission at Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital is governed by both academic qualifications and performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for enrollment:

NEET-UG Requirements Admission is strictly based on merit through NEET-UG. Candidates must:

  • Appear for and successfully qualify in the NEET-UG examination.

  • Obtain a valid NEET-UG score that meets the cutoff for the academic year.

  • Participate in centralized counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All-India Quota seats or by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for State Quota seats.

Academic Requirements Candidates must have passed the 10 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects. English must be included as a core subject.

Minimum Marks Criteria

  • General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) must obtain at least 40% aggregate marks.

  • General category candidates with physical disabilities (General-PH) must secure a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

Age Requirement Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET-UG.
