Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Narayana Dental College and Hospital is governed by national and state-level regulations. Candidates must fulfill the following requirements to be considered:

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the year in which admission is sought.

  • Academic Qualification: Completion of the 10 2 examination (or its equivalent) is mandatory, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects. English must also be included in the curriculum.

  • Minimum Marks:

    • General Category: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): A minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

  • Entrance Examination: Candidates must appear for and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). A valid NEET score meeting the prescribed cutoff is essential for participation in the centralized counseling process.
