About: National Institute of Science & Technology (NIST), now known as NIST University, is a private technical research university located in Pallur Hills (Institute Park), Brahmapur (Berhampur), Odisha, India. Established in 1996 as the first NRI-founded engineering college in Odisha (under Berhampur University affiliation initially), it gained autonomous status and transitioned to NIST University in 2024 via Odisha government recognition. It is approved by AICTE, UGC, and accredited by NAAC 'A' Grade (with some programs NBA-accredited). The 65–70 acre campus focuses on engineering, management, science, and research, offering programs like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc., BCA, and Ph.D. It emphasizes academic excellence, innovation, industry collaborations, and student development in a serene, green environment about 12 km from Berhampur city.
