Overview: National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY) was established in 2010 by the Government of India under the Eleventh Five-Year Plan as one of the ten new NITs. The institute is located in Karaikal, a coastal enclave of the Union Territory of Puducherry. The permanent campus spans 258 acres of lush green land and features modern infrastructure, including the "PENTAGON" engineering complex, a digital central library, advanced research labs, and dedicated sports facilities. Ranked 97th in Engineering by NIRF 2024, the institute recorded a highest package of ₹24.70 LPA (M.Tech) / ₹22.00 LPA (B.Tech) and an average package of ₹8.30 LPA (B.Tech) / ₹9.70 LPA (M.Tech).
