OP Jindal University (OPJU) was established in 2014 by the Jindal Education and Welfare Society with the specific vision of bridging the gap between academic theory and heavy-industry application. Located in Raigarh—the industrial heart of Chhattisgarh—the university serves as a "live laboratory" due to its proximity to the Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) plants.
