Oriental University (OU), established in 2011, is Indore's first self-financed private university. Founded by the Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation, it spans a massive 77-acre lush green campus on the Indore-Sanwer Road. The university is recognized by the UGC and approved by major regulatory bodies including AICTE (Engineering), PCI (Pharmacy), BCI (Law), and NCTE (Education).
