Panjab University, Chandigarh

Panjab University is a public collegiate state university established in 1882, located in Sector 14 and Sector 25, Chandigarh – 160014, India, and is governed by the Panjab University Act of 1947; it is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an A grade (CGPA 3.68) by NAAC. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes through its 78 teaching and research departments and 15 centres, with residential infrastructure, extensive library, sports facilities and departmental laboratories serving science, engineering, arts, management and professional disciplines on its ~550-acre campus. Panjab University’s engineering programmes are primarily offered through the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) and the Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (UICET), which provide well-equipped labs including computing and programming labs, electronics and communication labs, mechanical workshops, chemical and process labs, electrical machines and instruments labs, and other specialised laboratories aligned with engineering curricula.
