Rajkiya Engineering College Bijnor (RECB) stands as a beacon of technical excellence in Western Uttar Pradesh. Established in the year 2010 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Department of Technical Education, the college was originally founded as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Engineering College of Information Technology. It was launched under the Special Component Plan (SCP) of the Union Government of India, a visionary initiative aimed at empowering the socially and economically weaker sections of society through high-quality technical education. The institute is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and its programs are rigorously approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Spanning a dedicated campus area designed for academic focus, the college provides an environment that balances traditional learning with modern industrial requirements. The academic infrastructure is anchored by a diverse array of specialized laboratories that facilitate hands-on learning across all departments. The Information Technology department features high-end computing facilities, including the Operating System Lab, Software Engineering Lab, Web Technology Lab, and a dedicated Networking Lab. The Civil Engineering department is equipped with industry-standard facilities such as the Surveying Lab, Structural Analysis Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, and Transportation Lab. For Electrical Engineering, the college provides comprehensive setups including the Electrical Machines Lab, Power Systems Lab, Control Systems Lab, and Electrical Instrumentation Lab. Additionally, the Applied Science and Humanities department maintains well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Language labs to ensure a strong foundational education for first-year students. While the college focuses on maintaining high academic standards through these facilities, it remains a government-funded institution committed to transparency and quality under the TEQIP-III guidelines. Historically, RECB began its journey with three core branches—Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology—with an initial intake of 60 students per branch. Over the past decade, it has transformed from a nascent state college into a premier technical hub that nurtures innovation and research. The college's vision is to be recognized as a premier institution providing industry-ready technocrats who possess both distinctive competence and ethical standards. This is achieved through a mission that emphasizes local community service, rural development through technology, and the discovery of knowledge in an atmosphere of scientific
