Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech
To be eligible for the academic session, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Completion of 12th (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board (CHSE Odisha, CBSE, ICSE, etc.).

Compulsory Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects, along with one optional subject (Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject).

Minimum Marks:

General Category: At least 45% aggregate marks in the required subjects.

SC/ST Category: At least 40% aggregate marks in the required subjects.

Entrance Exam: A valid score in a recognized entrance examination is mandatory (see process below).
Admission Process
SUIIT follows the centralized admission guidelines set by the Government of Odisha:

Entrance Examination: * JEE Main: Primarily, admissions are based on the All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main.

OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination): Some seats may be filled through OJEE, especially for state-domicile candidates or lateral entry.

Counseling Process: Admission is strictly through the OJEE Counseling process. Candidates must register on the official OJEE portal, fill in their choices, and lock SUIIT as their preference.

Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit (entrance rank), category (reservation), and availability of seats in specific branches.

Lateral Entry: Students with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree (with Mathematics in 12th) can apply for direct admission into the 2nd year (3rd semester) via the OJEE Lateral Entry exam.
