Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Meerut, popularly known as Shobhit University, is a premier Deemed-to-be University established in the year 2006. It was founded with the noble vision of empowering the nation through quality education and research. The institution has grown remarkably over the decades, evolving from its initial roots as an engineering college into a multi-disciplinary university. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, and has been granted the prestigious 12-B status, which signifies its eligibility for central assistance. The university’s history is rooted in a legacy of 37 years of educational service provided by the Shobhit Gurukul Trust.
