Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, etc.).

• Core Subjects: Must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, alongside one optional subject from: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General/OBC Candidates: A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the required subjects.

  • SC/ST Candidates: A minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the required subjects.

• Entrance Exam: Admission is primarily based on the JEE Main rank.

Admission Process

The admission process is centralized and conducted through the UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counseling) platform.

1. Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the JEE Main examination.

2. UPTAC Registration: After the JEE Main results are declared, candidates must register on the .

3. Choice Filling: During counseling, candidates must select Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management (SRMCEM) as their preferred institution.

4. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on the candidate's merit (JEE Main rank), category, and the preferences submitted.

5. Direct Admission (Management Quota): SRMCEM also offers direct admission for a percentage of its seats (usually 15%) under the Management Quota. Applicants can contact the college admission office directly to check for availability and eligibility for these seats.
