Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirement: Must have passed the 12th (HSC) or equivalent examination.

Mandatory Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.

Minimum Marks: * General Category: 45% aggregate in PCM.

Reserved Categories (BC/BCM/MBC/SC/ST): 40% aggregate in PCM.

Admission Process
A) Government Quota (TNEA)
Most seats are filled through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling.

Process

1. Registration: Apply online via the TNEA portal (usually in May).

2. Random Number & Rank List: TNEA assigns a random number and then publishes a rank list based on your 12th-grade PCM marks (normalized to 200).

3. Online Counseling: Based on your rank, you participate in choice-filling. Ensure you enter code 2765 to select SGIT.

4. Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit and reservation.
B) Management Quota

Process: Candidates can apply directly to the college. While TNEA counseling is not required for this quota, students must still meet the minimum academic eligibility set by Anna University.

Selection: Based on institutional merit or direct application through the SGIT Admission Portal.
