Deemed-to-be University | Est. 2004 | Ramapuram, Chennai Established in 2004, the Ramapuram Campus is the second major campus of SRMIST in Chennai, located within the city limits (unlike the main Kattankulathur campus which is on the outskirts). It is a Deemed-to-be University accredited with NAAC 'A ' Grade. While the Kattankulathur (KTR) campus is a massive township, Ramapuram is a compact, city-centric campus known for its strong Computer Science and Architecture departments. It offers a distinct advantage of "Pooled Placements," meaning Ramapuram students sit for the same companies as KTR students. 1. Infrastructure & Highlights (Special Focus: Labs) The campus, though compact, is packed with facilities that meet SRM's high standards. Specialized Computing Labs: Features dedicated labs for Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing (in association with industry partners), and Full Stack Development. Architecture Studios: One of the few campuses with a highly rated School of Architecture, featuring dedicated design studios and model-making workshops . Mechanical & Civil Labs: Fully equipped Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and CAD/CAM labs. Medical Facilities: Being part of the SRM group, it has an attached superspeciality hospital providing excellent medical support. Hostels: Offers secure hostels (AC and Non-AC) within and near the campus, though many students also opt for day-scholar options due to the central location.
