TERI School of Advanced Studies

The TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS), established in 1998 in New Delhi, is a pioneering institution dedicated to providing world-class education in the fields of sustainable development, environmental studies, and resource management. Originally founded as the TERI School of Advanced Studies, it was granted "Deemed-to-be-University" status by the UGC in 1999. It stands as one of the few institutions globally that places sustainability at the core of all its academic and research endeavors. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the university recently launched several Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP) and Five-Year Integrated PG Programmes (FYIPP) in fields such as Environmental Studies, Data Science, Economics, and Biotechnology. These programs offer flexible entry and exit points, ensuring that the curriculum remains responsive to the evolving job market. Campus Infrastructure and Life Located in the institutional area of Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, the TERI SAS campus is a model of sustainability itself. The "Green Campus" features energy-efficient architecture, rainwater harvesting systems, and natural lighting, serving as a living laboratory for students. Facilities include high-tech laboratories (Biotechnology, Geoinformatics, and Solar Lighting), a rich digital library, an amphitheater, and a dedicated Media Lab. Student life is vibrant, with various clubs and field trips that emphasize experiential learning. Events like the annual fest Aahwaan and Greenathon promote creativity and environmental awareness.
