Overview
The Global Open University, Nagaland, was established in 2006 following the enactment of the The Global Open University Act 2006 by the Nagaland State Legislative Assembly. It is a State University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was formerly recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC). The university was founded to provide vocational and employment-centric education to students in far-flung areas. The infrastructure includes a main campus with administrative blocks, vocational training centers, and specialized labs for IT and Fashion Technology.
