THE LNM INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY JAIPUR

The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT) is a deemed university located at Rupa ki Nangal, Post-Sumel, Via-Jamdoli on the outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It was established in 2002 by the Lakshmi & Usha Mittal Foundation in partnership with the Government of Rajasthan and began its academic operations in 2003–04; it was later granted deemed-to-be-university status in 2006 under the UGC Act. The institute operates as a not-for-profit public-private partnership committed to high-quality education in engineering, technology, and sciences. The LNMIIT campus is a green, residential facility spread over about 100 acres, featuring modern academic buildings, student hostels, faculty housing, sports and recreation facilities, and other essential infrastructure that supports academic and campus life. In terms of approvals and accreditation, the institute is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It also participates in national ranking frameworks such as NIRF and various private ranking surveys. Rankings reflect LNMIIT’s growing reputation: it has featured in rankings by India Today, The Week, Outlook-ICARE, and shows positions in the NIRF Engineering category within the 201-300 band; it has also been highlighted in some reports as among the top private engineering institutes in India and within Rajasthan. The institute supports a strong practical learning environment with well-equipped departmental laboratories, computer labs with high-end hardware and software tools, electronics and communication labs, mechanical workshops, research facilities, specialized research centers, and collaborative spaces that help bridge theoretical learning with hands-on projects and innovation. These labs support various engineering and science disciplines, including Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, and related integrated programs.
