The University of Hyderabad (UoH), established in 1974 by an Act of Parliament, is a premier public central research university. It is widely recognized for its excellence in postgraduate studies and high-impact research. In 2019, it was accorded the prestigious Institution of Eminence (IoE) status by the Government of India, granting it additional autonomy and funding to scale global rankings. The university started its journey at 'The Golden Threshold', the historic estate of Sarojini Naidu, before moving to its current sprawling campus.
