Uttar Pradesh Textile Technology Institute (UPTTI), formerly known as Government Central Textile Institute (GCTI), is an autonomous institute established in 1914 and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. It is a premier textile engineering institution in North India offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The institute’s laboratories and workshops support practical education in textile disciplines, including spinning, weaving, textile chemistry, and advanced textile processing equipment, alongside well-equipped engineering and research laboratories as indicated through official facilities and department resources. The campus is located in Souterganj, Parwati Bagla Road, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, 208001, India.
