V.V.P. Engineering College, established in 1996 by the Vyavasayi Vidya Pratishthan Trust and promoted by Rajkot Nagrik Sahakari Bank Ltd., is a premier self-financed institution in Gujarat. Spanning a lush 30-acre campus, the college is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and approved by the AICTE. Known for its disciplined academic environment, the institute consistently ranks among the Top 5 colleges under GTU and actively participates in the NIRF rankings. It serves as a significant hub for technical excellence, housing an IIT Remote Center and an ISRO IIRS Nodal Center, while maintaining a strong focus on research, patent drafting, and innovation through its active SSIP cell. The institution is renowned for its comprehensive infrastructure and a wide array of specialized laboratories across eight engineering departments. For core branches, it features labs such as the High Voltage, Electrical Machines, Dynamics of Machinery, Heat Transfer, Concrete Technology, and Surveying Labs. The Chemical and Bio-Technology departments are supported by the Process Control, Mass Transfer, and Genetic Engineering Labs. To cater to the IT sector, the college provides advanced Programming, Networking, VLSI, and Advanced Communication Labs. These facilities are complemented by a modern "Knowledge Center" library, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and an auditorium, all designed to facilitate high-level practical training and holistic student development. The history of VVPEC is rooted in a commitment to bridging the gap between academic theory and industrial requirements in the Saurashtra region. Over the decades, it has evolved into a research-driven campus that encourages students to present research papers and engage in entrepreneurship, resulting in successful startups like Earthtech Renewables. The college maintains a transparent governance system and a dedicated faculty team that fosters strong industry-alumni linkages. This proactive approach has led to a stellar placement record with major recruiters such as Reliance, TCS, Wipro, and Nayara Energy, making it a landmark for technical education in the state.
