BDS Admission Process 2025 – Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Centre
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Vydehi Institute spans five years, which includes four years of academic instruction and one year of compulsory rotating internship. The annual intake capacity for the program is 60 seats. Admission is conducted through a centralized counseling process overseen by designated authorities.
1. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the BDS program, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Completion of 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

General category candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

Entrance Examination: A valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (NEET UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is mandatory.

Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year.
2. Selection and Counseling Process
Admission is based on NEET UG scores and is facilitated through the following counseling channels:

State Quota (Government and Private Seats): Managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates must register on the KEA portal and participate in state-level counseling rounds.

All India Quota (AIQ) and Deemed/Central Universities: Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). However, Vydehi Institute primarily fills its seats through KEA counseling as it is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Management and NRI Quota: These seats are also allocated through KEA’s counseling process.
Once a seat is allotted, candidates are required to report to the institute with original documents and complete the admission formalities, including payment of fees.
