Eligibility
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) – Eligibility Criteria
Yenepoya Dental College offers a full-time BDS program with a duration of five years, including four years of academic study and one year of compulsory rotating internship. Admission is strictly based on performance in the NEET-UG examination and subsequent counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for Deemed Universities.
Academic Requirements

Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the 10 2 / Pre-University examination or equivalent from a recognized board.

Subjects Required: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English must be core subjects.

Minimum Marks:

General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40% aggregate in the same subjects, as per applicable regulations.

Entrance Examination

NEET-UG: A valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is mandatory.

Only candidates who qualify NEET-UG are eligible to participate in the centralized counseling process for admission to the BDS program.
Age Requirement

Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
Admission Process

Admission is conducted through MCC counseling for Deemed Universities.

Candidates must register on the MCC portal, fill in their choices, and participate in the seat allotment process.

Once allotted a seat, candidates must report to the college with original documents and complete the admission formalities, including fee payment.
