Georgian Student Visa (D3 Category) – Indian Applicants

Indian students enrolling in BSU’s MBBS program must apply for a D3 category long-term student visa, which permits residence in Georgia for the full duration of their studies.

Visa Application Process

  1. Invitation Letter Issued:
    After confirming admission and paying the initial tuition fee, BSU provides an official invitation letter required for visa processing.

  2. Submission via Embassy or VFS Global:
    Applications are submitted either through the Georgian Embassy in India or designated VFS Global centers.

  3. Document Requirements:

    • Valid passport
    • Invitation letter from BSU
    • Passport-sized photographs
    • Proof of accommodation
    • Financial documents (e.g., bank statement)
    • Travel insurance
    • Academic records (10th, 12th mark sheets, NEET scorecard)
    • Apostilled documents from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India
    • Medical certificate including HIV test results
  4. Processing Timeline:
    Visa approval typically takes between 10 to 30 calendar days, depending on the method and category of submission.

Visa-Related Fees

  • Visa Application Fee:
    Approximately ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 INR, subject to exchange rates and official charges

  • VFS Service Charges (if applicable):
    Around ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 INR

  • Apostille Charges:
    Generally ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 INR per document, depending on the issuing MEA branch

  • Travel Insurance:
    Estimated between ₹1,500 to ₹3,000 INR for basic coverage
